The paper presents Schopenhauer's idea of the world, through the prism of the two famous claims that the world is representation and, respectively, that the world is will. Within this framework, the relations with subjective idealism (supported by Berkeley) and transcendental idealism (supported by Kant) are briefly analyzed.
